It's funny how threads about coolant, oil, oil filters, or spark plugs always end up being never ending...

I agree that the cost difference is really insignificant, especially when spread out over 4-5 years of coolant life.

But, for me it's more of a convenience point. With 2 toyotos, a ford, and a jeep, I use the any make/any model stuff, pick a weekend every 4-5 years and do all system flushes, then 50/50 fill, on all 4 vehicles. Properly dispose of the waste coolant. Then I done. I keep what's left over for any top off that's needed. Only 1 jug in the shop.

I am multi-talented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time.

I have the LJ and a Harley, so the Mopar or HOAT is not really an issue. Now the windshield washer fluid bottle not holding s full gallon is quite annoying.

You lost me.
What does that have to do with the coolant?
You have a V-rod or a rushmore touring model and want to use the same coolant in both?
Or it doesn't matter because your bike is air cooled?
How does that effect what is the proper coolant for a TJ?
Or are you just trying to make the thread go on and on

I took what he meant was that he only had 1 vehicle's coolant requirements to worry about. So buying hoat was not an isuue, cost or convenience wise ?

But, I have been wrong before.

Maybe the cooling debacle will never be fixed,I suggest he just top it off and weld the hood shut and forget about it.

It'll be fixed when ICE's are replaced by electric motors.
Of course then our cars' electronics will probably be liquid cooled and we'll be squabbling over propylene glycol vs mineral oil.

Somebody posted about having a different vehicles and just used one coolant. I was stating (trying) that I only had one automobile that used coolant. So it was easy to use Mopar or G-05.
