Poor mileage and no power on the freeway

I have an 02 x with 33s and a 3.07 diff. this weekend I went to Daytona about 80 miles away.

I filled up before I left and then again when I got home. On I-95 the wind was blowing pretty good against me and I couldn't maintain 70 MPH in 5th gear. I had to downshift to 4th. when I checked the mileage, it got a little over 11 MPG.

On normal roads it seems to have plenty of power. I don't have any error codes.

Anyone else have the same problem?

you are running 3.07 gears with 33" tires....thats your problem. either regear to 4.56 or 4.88, or put some 31s on that thing

Everything is fine, it's just your gearing isn't right for those tires.

Drop it into 4th next time if you want power. I can't believe you are driving 33's with 3.07s. I could barely stand that ratio with 31s.

3.07 with 33s

Yeah something I really didn't think about before the lift but not much I can do about it right now $$$ Live and learn. Good thing I don't drive on the freeway often.
