LIGHTS ON REMINDER!!! Has anyone wired one of these in a TJ???

I'm sure somebody has. I come from over a decade of driving three cars that had automatic lights (GM , vette, cadillac and 2500). I've already left the lights on on my '05 Rubicon a half dozen times, and even though I haven't stranded myself with a dead battery yet, I realize that I must wire in a relay warning so I don't ever do this. Does anybody have a tutorial on this?

thanks.

So far I haven't heard one. I get a chime if I leave the parking brake on, but nothing for the lights. Maybe I should look into this. I didn't know I was 'supposed' to have a chimer.

Thanks.

fuse #4 says rad/fan, and there is no fuse in place. I'm running with the doors off, and no the lights don't seem to be on because of it.

you could tap into the dash lights somewhere and wire up an LED, when the park lamps and head lights come on, so do the dash lights, i tapped into the lights that illuminate the heater controls (for a different purpose). i do not recall which color wire i used, but i do remember that it was pretty simple to figure out

You need to look at the fuse behind the glove box, not under the hood...

If it's worth doing, then it's worth overdoing.

thanks so much. that did the trick. Someone had removed it completely. If you get a chance, please tell me what amperage of a fuse is supposed to go there. Now the interior lights come on when the doors are open and the reminder beeps too. I just need to know how big a fuse to put in now.

thanks again.

Fuse #4 tells your Jeep that the door is open / closed. When you take off the doors, most people take out that fuse. (It also keeps the dome light from staying on).

I'm in the same boat as you, I've left my headlights on countless times.
I suppose I should look for a DRL mod...

Congrat's on the new Jeep!

The skinny pedal on the right is my friend. the gas gauge is not.
