JL to TJ Bumper Adaptor

Hey everyone! I am new to the jeep world and I am looking at buying one tonight. Catch is that it is missing the bumpers. I found a set of 2019 Wrangler (JL) bumpers. Does anyone know if there is an adapter that I can use to bolt on the JL bumpers to a JK.

I have done enough research to know that the mounting for the bumpers is completely different. I am also aware the a JK bumper with bolt up to a JL, but that does not help me.

If you have anyone that can do a little welding you can easily weld on some mounting brackets and make them work how ever you want. You can mount them upside down and backwards if you'd like.

Can't say that I've seen or heard of any adapters available to mount JL bumpers to a TJ. My thoughts are unless you're getting the JL bumpers completely free, you'd be better off spending your time and money on installing a set of bumpers designed to fit a TJ.

I have to agree with both above. Either find a welder or spend your money on a TJ bumper. I think that the full with JL bumper will be several inches wider than the TJ body.

Unless JLs are a lot skinnier than I believe this will end up with a pretty crazy result.

JL or JK ends up with the same mess on a TJ. Don't forget the Dumbo flares too. You can get stock TJ bumpers cheap or free on craigslist. I gave mine away.

Even on a JK, the JK bumper and flares look too big.

I would think that for the dealer cost of a JL bumper you could get a nicer aftermarket TJ bumper.
