inline 6 problems till end of warranty?

What problems have you had in the first 36000 -OR- 70000 miles of your powertrain's life and at what milage did they occur?

If you have had no problems feel free to say none and your current mileage.

I'll start: starter replaced around 11k... otherwise engine = amazing

Zero problems, 42k miles.

The 4.0 is supposed to be bullet proof and a long proven motor. I wouldn't suspect anything other than the cracked manifold on the eariler TJs.

Another common thing is the rear main seal.

35k current, at one point I thought I had driveshaft u-joints (angry sparrows) starting to act up, but it went away. Otherwise, no drivetrain problems so far.

drove an XJ the other day that has been in the family for a while(since 89), some oil leaks and noise from the power steering, but ran/shifted/tracked very well. Not too bad for 293,xxx miles w/ nothing but oil changes & tuneups

98 Tj replaced radiator, exhaust manifold, plug for gauge cluster, clutch, tires, shocks, tune up, and then sold it after the heater core went. Traded it in for 7k with 100k plus and bought my 2004. Been driving it for 4 months, no problems. Although sometimes I think that I manufactur problems cause I want to use the warranty before it runs out in April!

Leaky radiator and transfer case at 8,000 (fixed under warranty). Also, the rear D44 wasn't sealed well... but I'll fix that once I hit 15,000. Otherwise, I love it!
