Are the Idler Pulley & Tension Pulley Interchangeable?

I'm confused...
Some companies sell these pulleys as the same part, but others list them separately. Does anyone know if, in fact, they are interchangeable...or are they completely different parts?

Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell, if your engine has a tensioner pulley with manual adjustment then the tensioner and idler pullies are the same. If your engine has an automatic tensioner however, its pulley is a tad smaller in diameter than the idler pulley.

My research a while back showed the manual adjustment pulleys were a 76mm for the idle and 90mm for the tensioner.

The Muddog is a 2002, 4.0, standard trans. A few years ago, (three or so), I detected a squeal from the Tensioner Pulley. When I did my research, I found that both pulleys were the same. I ordered two of the same part number, replaced both, and have not had any trouble.

On my '05 LJ the idler is 76mm and the tensioner is ~71mm, so ~5mm difference.
