IDIOT mistake with fuel pump - ideas?

Just finished installing a new fuel pump. Went well until I started the Jeep and noticed fuel gauge would not move off empty. I know what I did....I forgot to lower the float arm when I put the pump in the tank. Is there any chance when I fill the tank it will work itself down? Or am I looking a starting over?

If I remember right on the TJ there’s not a notch or anything that holds it in place so once you fill it up it should catch it and make it work

Don't feel bad, last time I dropped the tank to address a few things, non fuel pump related, I broke the nipple off the fuel line attachment point... Not a cheap screw up.
