I just recently purchased an 2004 X with 64k miles, I noticed a tapping sound in the engine and took it in for service, free of course with the 3 year 36000 mile extended warranty. It turns out it had a collapsed lifter and also needed a new rear main seal. The other thing that I have not got around to fixing is the a/c only orks on speeds 3 and 4. I havent wanted to part with it again just yet but I will probably take it in soon. There is also four holes on either side of the bumper so I am thinking someone had a tow hitch hooked up? So far no more problems and it runs great.
