i was under the impression that they were going to stop cutting out the spyder due to failure probability at that spot?

SWEET!!!! That looks fab!
How much did the whole setup cost you (minus the painting)? What about install time? Looks like you took your time, and it definately shows. Did you install it yourself, or take it somewhere?

Thanks guys!!!! And...Yes...I made it at home with a buddy of mine "Dave" who welds & fabricates. Added the extra bars & gussets to add strength. It took a few days & painted it quite a few times. I take my time when doing all my mods on My Jeep so it will look nice yet also rugged when offroading.

thanks for digging this up, DO you have pics form sitting in the drivers area as to how low that window bar goes? or how high I guess. I dont want to block to much view.

That window bar support touches the drivers instument panel. Its very low so it does not get in the viewing way. My daughter who is 15 shes 4'11" she can see very well when she goes offroading in my jeep. Shes been offroading at age 14 & does very well. That front bar support does not block the defrost air vents. When I go offroading I add a padding on the front bar support by the passangers side. Just incase so my passanger wont hit their head on the bar. Ouch that would really hurt. They are always buckled up as everyone esle should be. But, Adding that padding in the front helps out just incase. I'm 5'4" & can see very well also.
Get a cage welded or bolt on. Its the best investment for your life & your passangers. Try to get the cage 1st before you start doing your other mods. Save your life 1st over your jeep. Buckle Up & Think Safety!
