Heater Blower switch

2006 TJ. Only have the high setting on the heater blower motor. I t is just the switch iT self or some thing else

There's a lot of information on this topic on the internet because this is a very common issue on TJ's.

You should start by checking the back of the switch and the connection at the resistor pack for melting/burning before replacing any parts. If that is the case your blower motor could be bad and drawing too much current. Or some say the circuit is under designed and needs relays installed. If that is not the case then you just may need to replace the resistor pack.

the resistor should have 12v all 4 wires going to controls.

which one of the 4 wires the controls ground determines speed.

Had exactly the same issue with my 2005.
New resistor solved the problem.

I have the exact opposite problem. My high setting doesn't work. The switch is melted around that terminal. I haven't got around to getting into it yet.
