The bumpstop just pulls out.

Are you trying to remove the "cup" that holds the bumpstop?

Nothing to see here.
Move along.

Even as old as this thread is, I hate unanswered questions. Yes it is course threads. The size is M10x1.5x35. TJs are getting rustier and more people may need this info.

This is as far as we go. No more cockamamie cigar smoke. No more Swedish meatballs there, tootsie.

Funny. I think Mike is gone. Maybe he got a JK or a Prius. From his last post....
"I have a 97 TJ that needs a new frame and I plan to do that next spring. I plan to park it on jack stands in my driveway until then."

I was just looking it up for myself as I just had a bump stop cup rust out and tear off. The bumper is still inside the spring and can't (easily) escape. I ordered a new cup but figured I would need a new bolt too. It's a pain not having the right bolt when something is torn apart. I found this thread while I was looking. I updated it after I saw on another forum where someone posted the OEM size.
