Fixing A/C that won't hold a charge

Anyone repair their A/C system after it wouldn't hold a charge? Compressor seems to be fine and a charge kit only fixes the A/C for about a month. Any suggestions on where to source cheap parts for the repair and how easy is it to do yourself?

Have you put the UV dye in it to see where it is leaking? That would be step 1.

36" TSL/SX
Poison Spyder 3" Highlines and Comp Cut corners
HP30 and 8.8 w/ lockers
103" Wheelbase

Evap hoses are a good place to look. The dye will help.

Easiest and cheapest way to tackle this is to remove the top

No not yet. Still shopping around. Each one I find has one issue or another and just trying to figure out the amount of time, effort, and money it would be to fix some of the issues before I actually purchase one.

With all the threads you got going, rust, transmission, and now, ac. Ask yourself what's a must have and/or show stopper.

I consider rust and transmission as show stooper. Can be long costly fixes and where the jeep is unusable. The ac on the other hand, doesn't limit the jeeps use and can be addressed at anytime.

There's nothing special or different about a jeeps ac system vs any other vehicle. So, if you have any vehicle experience at all, it applies here.
