DV8 Shifter Knob

I have a CJ, and the PO put one of these shift knobs on and I can’t get it off. It says the knob is for a TJ, so hopefully someone here knows how it attaches. I didn’t know if there is a lock nut, or the top cap comes off, but I’m starting to suspect the PO glued/epoxied the knob on the T-4 shift lever

The stock TJ shift knob has a nut under the shift pattern cover. Most aftermarket shift knobs simply screw on without using the stock nut.

Pull the rubber ‘tread’ off, there might be a set screw under it.

The lower tapered section unscrews from the knob section. I believe that's where you'll find the set screws.
