Does this D44 shaft need to be replaced? Leaky- Grooved seal surface - pic

Looks like I have three options: (I already have the new bearing/seal)

1. Free - Take my chances and replace bearing/seal- run it with the groove.
2. $50 - Speedi sleeve. Bandaid fix?
3. $105 - New G2 replacement shaft

Anyone have experience with the above options?
I am leaning toward the new shaft.

For the $55 difference between the speedi sleeve and the shaft, I'd go with the shaft. Either way, I don't think you can run it the way it is without leaks.

Or maybe check classifieds here and/or local clubs to see if you can find a "take off" shaft where someone upgraded.

I am multi-talented, I can talk and piss you off at the same time.

Like Nashville stated, for the price differential, buy a new shaft and be done with it. It absolutely will leak if installed the way it is.
