Differences between Trektop and Supertop

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum (and new to Jeeps). We found our first Jeep, a 2000 TJ, only a couple weeks ago. It came with the factory hardtop and two soft tops.
Which is what makes me ponder: Why two? One is a Bestop Supertop and shows some moderate use. The other is a Bestop Trektop and is obviously brand new. Neither is the NX version, as far as I can make out from the manuals.
What are the actual differences between the two? As far as I can tell, the windows unzip on both.
I think that the Supertop is largely similar to the factory soft top: Once installed, I should be able to open and close it much like a convertible top (only slower).
I also think that the Trektop opens and closes but has the additional option to roll back the top, not unlike an old Volkswagen.
Am I correct?
Would be grateful for any input before I start to fiddle with either one.

The Supertop sunroof feature slides back over the two front seats and bunches up. The Trektop sunroof feature flips completely back onto the back portion of the top and lays flat.

The PO either wanted to swap to the Trektop or he ordered the wrong top. Your are right about the Supertop being the OEM equivalent. Iíve have replaced an OEM Bestop with the Supertop on my TJ for the OEM look and utility. Replaced the hardtop on my JK with the Supertop NX kit for the same reasons. They are Bestop products so either should serve you well.
