Are the Crown steering shafts decent?

Getting ready to rebuild my steering box and tap it for hydro assist. I'm thinking of replacing the upper and lower shafts while I have it apart. I'm not sure the Borgeson shafts are worth shelling out for with the hydro assist going in.

Any first hand experience?

Crown isn't exactly known for their quality control. It's like playing roulette with your new parts.

Why do you want to replace it? Does it have play in it?

Seems to have a little. The steering box has massive play and leaking, so rebuilding it is a must. Just figured I would do the shafts at the same time.

I'm not sure how they're pricing compares to Borgeson, but I had these guys make a shaft for an old Dodge W200 I had years a go to get rid of the rubber rag joint that kept braking due to the big heavy wheels and tires I was running. The shaft out lasted the rest of the truck.
