I'm going to be tapping my box and using a PSC cylinder. I'd like to use the psc brake bracket, but don't want to pay $200 for one of their reservoirs.

Can anyone recommend one that will fit the bracket and still be budget friendly?

You are missing a lot of the finer points of a sound steering installation.

First rule- Power steering pumps have NO suction. They are purely gravity fed and you need to keep the feed line out of the reservoir above the inlet to the pump.

Designing your system around a 10 dollar bracket is dumb, don't do it.

Second rule- Your feed line needs to be kept shorter than 14-15" or so. Pay attention to the length and diameter. -10 is good, -12 is better.

Find a vented quality reservoir that meets that criteria for sub 200 dollars with a filter in it, hydroboost return options, interchangeable fitting sizes, and I'll buy 5 of them tomorrow.

Good to know. I've been reading up on cheap hydro assist options, but they never go into much detail on the finer points.

Can you recommend which of PSC'S reservoirs would work well with the stock pump? I'll be using a durango box with a 6" travel ram on my hp30 to push 35s.

This mod was on my list of things to do soon, but after wheeling some much harder trails this weekend, it's moved up on priority. We had a guy from Crawl magazine with us, and one of the local guys bought "Daddy Longlegs" from Poison Spyder. My cage kit from Polyperformance has been on order for a month.
