Bought TJ Door that doesn't fit?

Bought this TJ door for my 97' wrangler. The guy swears it's for a TJ but it doesn't fit. I'll show the measurements below. To the 95's have a similar door with minor changes in dimensions? Thanks guys. I bought another tj door and it fit perfectly. My Jeep wasn't wrecked or anything... I ran over the door and had to replace haha. Original is 16 and the new door is 16.5-ish. Measurements are from the bottom of the window to the top.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

1995 was still the YJ.

When I bought ‘99 doors to fit on my ‘97, I had to move the hinges on both the door and the body to get them to fit correctly.

The TJ started in 1997. If you have a 1995 door you have a door off a YJ not a TJ.

it'd be pretty easy to tell the difference.

Smoking/vent window = YJ
No vent window = TJ

Latch mechanism is also completely different.

I have seen folks modify TJ doors to fit the YJ in terms of window frame lining up with the windshield angle dangle.

But, it would be a pretty poor wager to bet on you buying a set of these modified doors. I would think someone selling them would tell you - so let's just throw that out the window.

If no vent window, fool around with the hinges as stated above.

It is surprising how different doors can be on a TJ. I've had full doors on mine that fit just fine with no adjustment and doors that are impossible to make fit without bending the door frame.

My jeep hasn't been wrecked....the doors sure don't look like they've been damaged...so WTF?

The last assembly station for the TJ must have just been guys with torx bits and rubber mallets to get the right fit and finish.

97 TJ sport.

Without pics of the door inside and out it's hard to figure what you have

He has a TJ door.

Even with the limited (down right crappy) photos provided... You can tell it does not have vent windows. Those are the leading corners...
