Avenger Supercharger 2.4L install W/ pics!!

I think there would have to be at least one or two of you interested in this, so I'll post my progress here. check back for updates.

UPS brought the big box about December 20th, about two months after they got my check. With work and Christmas/ New Years, this this weekend and next week is when I finally have time to do the install. My work schedule gives me 7 days off in a row every month, day 1 was yesterday.

Last night I finally cutoff all the shrink wrap and inventoried the parts to make sure I have every thing.

BELOWTop left: oil system fittings, looks like everything is here. Top right:Vacuum lines /fittings. Missing caps to plug unused ports on the manifold! Bottom right: new injectors and connectors.

Below Intercooler parts. Missing the Water Pump!!!

Below ??? beats me. the instructions are just too vague.

Below I think I know where this goes.

I've been absolutely thinking about that kit. Their website was down last month (maybe still is?) so I couldn't get an idea of what the kit consisted of. Good to see that it's intercooled. Would love to see the installed pics, and hook us up with the install pics if you have time. Would be a great write up.

You need at least a 1" body lift, right?

Kenne Bell also makes a kit. Did you check that out also before you purchased?

And if you don't mind me asking, could you PM me with what you paid?

One more thing... have you ever had the jeep on a dyno? You should before you do anything. Have the a/f checked stock and then compare gains and fuel curve after the install.

thanks,

Aaron

I went around today (Sunday) and picked up some wire to extend the harnesses, some anti freeze, oil and filter, wire ties, etc.... I didn't plan on starting until Monday, but I had some time this evening so worked on the A/C lines and the idler pulleys and removed the passenger motor mount and it's bracket from the side of the block to gain access to the oil pressure sender.

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post updates.

I spoke to Avenger Saturday about the missing parts, I'll get back with them on Monday (8 Jan, 07)

I found more missing stuff today, the instructions call for using a supplied template to drill some holes and refer to a picture. No template, no picture either.

They use a small electric H2O pump like a bosch. Like a Grand National uses for it's intercooler. they have a pic in the instruction PDF on the website. I've used one before, they work good.
