Stole these pics from the pirate thread, but they all have elements I like. Could do a poly performance front kit off the stock b pillar, then chop off the rear bars and do a custom fastback with straight tubes. Wouldn't need a bender to do it.

Second pic is what I'm going to base my cage on.

I didn't see it confirmed in this thread only in other threads but Synergy is no longer selling their cage kit because it wasn't profitable enough once they paid for insurance compared to other products they sell. So they'd rather focus on other things.

According to Taylor at Synergy you can sleeve a TJ back half kit to fit a LJ well. I know there was a back half kit floating around in the Ohio area about a month ago, and multiple frame tie-ins. I'm pretty sure I snagged the last front half kit in the country though... if anyone happens to find an LJ back half I'd be very interested. Or else I'll probably end up buying a back half from Koz which also looks like a good option.

That's a bummer. I was looking for their kit the other day. I have that kit in my TJ so I was going to pick one up at some point for the LJ I just scooped up. I'll have to check out the KOZ kit. I don't really like the other options with the stanchions, rather have tube go through the dash.

Give ATO a call 513-847-6651 there's a small chance they know a guy that has a Synergy TJ/LJ front half available. No promises. Everyone else who says they have one on their website doesn't; they all dropship from Synergy.

PM me details if you still need a buyer. I was thinking about ordering the A to Z, but would rather have the Synergy...

When you say chopped stanchions, Do you mean you're going to replace the spider dash plates with tubes?

I have the Synergy front and rear kit. Front is installed and is nice. Haven't gotten the rear installed yet. I heard they quit selling the kit maybe. Shame if they did. It is a good kit. Only mods we had to do was for the frame tie in because of my lift and body lift. But with a stock Jeep, it should fit without mods I'd believe.

I took it to be his sarcastic dig at the concerns about plated A pillars. People can make their own choices.

not sarcasm, I am very concern about the stanchions, I understand the use of them as a bolt on kit and to make money, the disclosure when you buy them clearly shows that there is the inherent danger for highway speeds. I will soon replace them with tubes but I was pressed to get some protection there before my trip to the rubicon.

I am ok now with them, I use full doors and these sandwich the heck of these stanchions against the body, now the bottom blade is a toe killer if you use flip flops.

yes, eventually... I don't like that blade there, and I want to go doorless but don't feel confortable on highway speeds... now on the trail is see no issue...

Can I dust this thread off for a minute? I'm hoping all the cage gurus are still subscribed. I need an educated opinion on this. I'm installing a Poison Spyder full cage and trying to decide how to attach my factory seat belt reels.

Would you do this? (Modified SWAG off road seatbelt bracket)

OR

Do this. Cut the little tab off the back of the seat belt reel (left photo) and bolt it directly to the B-pillar with a bung similar to the strap above (right photo)
