6.1" In-Dash Double-Din Car Video Deck in Jeep TJ Wrangler 2002

Has anyone installed a Pioneer 6.1" In-Dash Double-Din Car Video Deck with GPS (AVIC-X930BT) in a 2002 Jeep TJ Wrangler (Have Pictures?)

Can it be done and does anybody have any other suggestions for In-Dash Double-Din Car Video Decks, that I may have overlooked? (Pictures?)

I've done some research on the Pioneer 6.1" AVIC-X930BT and it seems to get positive reviews.

every attempt I've seen to put a double DIN unit in the TJ's 1.5 DIN dash, has looked like **** when completed.

might get more responses putting this in the appropriate forum.

Waste of money. Unless you are in your car all the time. To each their own.

Look at my build thread on the 1st page. I used an air saw and trimmed the inner dash for room. On the trim panel I used 3m automix plastic repair material. Then I painted it after preping the plastic for paint.

Looks great! How difficult was it to complete the trim panel? (looks like professional work!)

Thank you! It was not very hard just have to take time and double check measurements. I used 2" tape for a mold where it needed filling on the sides of the unit.

I retract my earlier statement in this thread. That is the first install that looked good. In fact, if you would like to detail the procedure, perhaps a few of us would appreciate it.

Well done.

Marco

Please help me. I want to put in a 7 in pioneer DVD player in. Do I cut the bezel? Try making it bigger? How is it done?

Looks great! but you must have some delusional faith in your community, or live in an amazing area. I have already gotten my seat covers, head unit, grab handles, and AC compressor stolen.....

Good friend of mine how he did his.

He actually used a battery box that he got at bass pro shops I believe and chopped it up and made it work.. Looks great, does inhibit some over the hood view but not too much with his seat risers.
