Who cares? Moto-Alliance has paid money to be a vendor on this forum, and this is a thread about light bars. It has been proven the $40 deal is a scam, and he is providing an alternative. Its just a internet forum, lighten up people.

I don't see anyone jumping on Kolak for the same thing. Every "helpful" reply he gives to a thread is a sales pitch. As long as they are giving some relevant info, who cares?

Anyone looking for a cheap bar should go to this thread for the legit $150 bar:

https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/50...ecial-2450913/

I challenge Moto-Alliance to order one then do a side by side comparison with his bar to show us why we should spend twice as much for his product......

Even if they are exactly the same bar, which im sure they are not, Moto-Alliance is more than just some internet company selling crap on ebay and amazon. They seem to be a legit company that you can actually call and talk to, and take the time to actually come onto the forums and provide info and answer questions. I personally would rather give my money to folks like that rather than a faceless internet only company, even if I have to spend more.

I would agree if the markup was 10 or 20%. But their low end 50" Bar is priced 86% higher for what appears to be the same or similar product. Notice that I challenged him to a side by side comparison but all he did was post in the other thread and ignored the challenge. I suspect that is because he knows there is no difference in the product itself, just you're paying him $129 more for a 3 year warranty versus a 1 year warranty and better customer service.

Maybe I'm lucky but I've not been burned yet on ordering from China. I've always gotten the product as described or my money back.

I agree, I would like to hear feedback from him on the possible differences or lack of. It just pains me to see so many products being ordered straight from China, if this country keeps it up, there will eventually be no choice at all. Im fully aware that American companies sell Chinese products, as with these light bars, but at least there is some profit being made here as well.

Actually, the Amazon bar in my thread comes with a 2 year warranty, and there have been a couple reviews that have stated the vendor is great to work with if you should encounter any problem with your light bar.

Kinda like every "Can I run 35's" thread turns into an advertisement for brakes eventually.

I'd say there is a difference between pimping a generic product versus highlighting a safety issue.

Back on topic, Moto-Alliance is a paid Vendor who helps support this forum. If you guys knew how much Vendors paid the owners of JF every month, and it's more than most of you would suspect, you'd understand why they talk about their products wherever they can.

And guess what... without our paid Vendors and advertisers, this forum wouldn't exist. Period.

Once again, back on topic.

When you have a choice, buy American made.

I think you're confusing advertisement with endorsement. There are a lot of folks who chime in on those threads to recommend specific brakes or share their personal experiences/recommendations. A particular brand being mentioned by multiple people doesn't count as advertising in my book.
