4.0L supercharger

I'm new to this forum, but I figured some of you guys might know some stuff about the avenger supercharger system for the 4.0L. From what I've seen it seems like an awesome setup, but i'm just not sure if it's worth the money. any advice or other options would be appreciated. (I've already done most of the common bolt ons)

i don't know much about it but what i do know is if i had the $$$ for a supercharger(i'm guessing @$2000) i would get a lift, tires, and some other stuff. my jeep has enough power for me.

Expect to pay about $5K installed for a decent supercharger. If I were to consider one, it would be the Kenne Bell kit.

But I feel that the 4.0 has plenty of grunt for what I do with it. If I wanted more, I would stroke it to 4.7L and leave it naturally aspirated.

thanks for the help. I thought that headers and a cat-back with the 3.73s and 33s wouldn't be too bad out in colorado, but in the high altitude the engine just really slows down. If ya'll have any personal experience wiht these superchargers I'd really like to ask ya'll some questions.

thanks

now... im no expert but is regearing a more proper and cheaper solution to this?

i think that the 3.73 and 33s has nuthin to do w/ the altitude in CO? ive been contemplating 33s but am hesitant b/c alot of my reading here seems to lean towards the TJ being underpowered runnin 33s with 3.73s. i almost wish i had an auto w/ 4.01? (or is it 4.11s?). i think parts for regearing is about 600-800$ dont know about install. plus a better crawl ratio!

I've looked at regearing and might do that, but I might be wrong in thinking that regearing can only do so much in how the jeep performs on the road. I would really like the lower crawl ratios in the mud and rocks but i don't think the lower gears will get too much more useful power to the wheels. I could be wrong.
As for the bored out 4.0L, I met a guy in Colorado who bored his 4.0L out to 4.7, he has an avenger supercharger running at about 9psi boost and has NOS. (i'm geussing around 500hp) I think that's a bit excessive, but i know you can get a relatively nice power increase from boring the motor out. Also the header I put on mine gave a nice little increase in the mid range power. But a supercharger sure would be nice. As for the gearing in the autos I'm not sure.

im pretty sure ive seen a buncha people discuss tire diameter and gearing. consensus, i thought, was that 33s on 3.73s make the tj sluggish. and that the regearing to 4.11 added enough for 33s and gave a nice crawl. but i dunno

am i right?
anyone care to add? anyone? bueller? bueller?

as for NOS in my jeep? thats 2fast2furious4me. but hell its would be awesome to toast up some unsuspectin ricers!!
