2006 Jeep TJ issue

Have a 2006 Jeep TJ sport 6 speed manual with about 130,000 kms and am currently experiencing clicking or ticking noise coming from what sounds like the transfer case or transmission while driving in all gears and at idle. Noise gets worse at higher speeds, but there is no issues shifting into any gears. Anyone have any suggestions or advice ! Thanks

Check your driveshaft u-joints. Does the sound get faster with speed or RPM's?

At idle too?
In gear or out of gear?
With clutch in?

Sounds like a noisy throwout bearing and/or clutch return spring. Like above said, does it go away when you clutch in?
