Trying to find a PCM (powertrain computer module) for my 2005 Jeep Unlimited. Sent it out to someone to repair and was told can not be fixed. From my limited research it sounds like this is a common issue and Jeep no longer produces to part. Only have 99,000 miles in great condition. Not ready to give up on it.

I assume you have an automatic. Seems like folks are pleased recently with Flagship 1 as a source. Good luck.

I know I am starting trouble BUT I gotta ask what was issue with PCM?

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

If its the auto transmission issue its not the PCM but rather the TCM that is built inside it. There is a member on wrangler tj forum and wranglerforum that claims to have solved it. Wranglerfix is his clever user name

Transmission was slipping. Code came up as a problem with the PCM. Sent it out to try to be repaired but the company had no luck. It's a known problem with 2004-2006 Wranglers.

always wanting to help and learn - would you mind sharing the code or codes?

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
