2004 Water Pump ?

Well my water pump is starting to die and I need to pick up a new one. The Haynes manual seems like it's got everything covered, but it shows the water pump in the 2004 4.0 I6 as a reverse pump. Every pump I see for a 2004 doesn't seem to give me any indication that it's reversed. Is that just a given that it's reversed for that year or am I missing something? I would really like to get this right the first time because I don't have another vehicle, this is my DD. I've changed water pumps before, but never on my Jeep so I'm in unknown territory. Even changed the timing belt on my wife's Honda....after that, any repair seems possible. Any help would be great!

Just go to your parts supplier and buy a water pump for an '04 Wrangler 4.0L engine.

Keep in mind that free advice can frequently be worth less than you pay for it.

That's what I was gonna do, but the manual said to make sure it's got reverse stamped in it somewhere. Kinda made me a little nervous. Any manufacturer recommendations ? Or just whatever they've got at Auto Zone or Advanced?

Pay the extra money and get a Mopar pump.

Ok use a different mode of transportation, bicycle if necessary, if you get the wrong part your gonna have to use an alternative mode of transport to go back to get the right one.

Get an OEM FSM.
Buy the Mopar pump.
Has anyone seen a wrong pump that will fit on the 2000-2006 4.0L?...

Gone but not forgotten.
