2000 blower motor problem HELP

The only way to make the motor work is to ground to neg battery terminal.
Does this sound like a resistor problem?
I was told that the resistor makes the ground when the ignition is turned on is this true?

Replaced
Fan speed switch
Selector Switch MELTED
FAN

Blower motor has constant battery+ anytime the key is on thru the blower relay.

That said, the blower switch and the resistor unit control how much "ground" the blower motor recieves to control speed.

You have a switch or resistor problem. Lots of threads here about it, search "blower switch" or "fan switch" on here and cuddle up for a nice read.

Simple explanation of faith :

Think of it as a movie. The Torah is the first one, and the New Testament is the sequel. Then the Qu'ran comes out, and it retcons the last one like it never happened. There's still Jesus, but he's not the main character anymore, and the Messiah hasn't shown up yet.

Jews like the first movie but ignore the sequels, Christians think you need to watch the first two, but the third one doesn't count, Moslems think the third one was the best, and Mormons liked the second one so much they started writing fan-fiction that doesn't fit with ANY of the series canon.

Im sorry, I did not read the parts you already replaced, visually inspect your resistor unit(remove it). Also inspect the fan wiring for major damage.

I have been down this road many times like others with the TJ .
