2" BDS vs Budget Boost

I currently have a SWB Rubicon and I am looking at getting either a BB with OME shocks or the 2" BDS kit which comes with springs and shocks.

I will also be adding a JKS BL & MML to either lift to add 285s.

I have researched both extensively and can't seem to figure out why one would be better than another. I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

Well...the BDS comes with one of the best warranties out there. And i have rode in a friends jeep with OME shocks and its too soft IMO. BDS is closer to stock from what i hear. I am getting the 2 inch BDS hopefully this summer

Just replaced my BDS BB with thier 2" springs...night and day better...I gained closer to 3" in the front and rear...now with the Winch on the front its more like 2-2.5" If you are getting a winch and want it to be level, you can get the 3" coils for the front....that should level it out....I think I am going to be doing that soon...

2 inch BDS.

I absolutely love the ride of my Jeep on and off-road.

money WELL spent. My Jeep did end up with some vibes, so I'm installing a SYE next week...finally.

Another vote for BDS here. I've had my 3" for almost 6 months now and have had no problems, by far one of the best mods added.

I don't know the year of your Jeep, do you know if your OEM coils are sagging? If your coils are sagging, you won't get the full lift benefit of the spacer/BB. IMO, new coils always trump spring spacers.

I run a 2" BDS suspension, better ride both on and off road. The BDS 5500 series shocks are perfect for a short wheel base TJ. I am so pleased with this lift, I would definitely buy BDS again.

Question about this lift.

Did anyone have to relocate the trackbar with it?

Thanks.

I think they sell a trackbar relocator. If not then you can just get an OME one. I can't imagine that the axle would shift a huge amount with just 2 inches but i could be wrong. I am interested in finding that out as well

Thanks for the replies. I am also interested in the adjustable trackbar question. Did those of you with the BDS lift need new trackbars?
