Not sure if I need help or not...

2 Attachment(s)
Newbie here. Just pulled off my splash guard under the front bumper to install a bull bar, and found this (pics). Not connected. This is for a 2018 JL Wrangler Rubicon. It is only on the driver's side.

1. What is it?
2. Is it needed?
3. Should it be connected to something?

Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm loving being a Jeeper!

Isn’t that the sway bar link?

:| y: You msta bought the jeep USED- that's the DRIVERS SIDE SWAY BAR LINK--DISCONNECTED
which is common in a NON-RUBICON MODEL--

Back to the dealer--maybe the SWAYBAR RELEASE SYS IS DEFUNCT--nothing looks broken--just disconnected and

THIS IS A SAFETY REQUIREMENT-- SHOULDN'T BE DRIVEN ON THE FREEWAY LIKE THAT--

Have it checked immediately !!

Good luck

How can you not see that the bushing is pulled out of the link. You need a new link. If you donít have a warranty, just buy the link and replace it. If you have a lift kit on it, that may actually be a rear link. Remove the link and take it in when you pick up the new link for comparison. No damage by continuing to drive it. Some people remove the front sway bar completely. Easy fix.

The bushing's on the bolt in the axle mount look at the first pick. Two ratchets and 5 minutes you're good to go.
