Loose ball joint castle nuts

We are hearing the tell-tale clicking. How many of you have had this issue corrected? I plan to do it myself.

I just bought 4 cotter pins (1/8”x2”) from Lowe’s and will check all 4 later today or tomorrow. I’d rather make sure they are all properly torqued.

I’ll set the tops to 55ft-lb, bottoms to 33ft-lb, then tighten each to the next face that lines up for the cotter pin.

I have a lift, and probably won’t need to remove the wheels since they are 0 offset and give pretty easy access. This should take less time than driving to the dealer and back…..but still pretty annoying on a brand new rig. This issue dates back to 2018, there is a TSB for the problem, and yet they continue to leave the factory this way. Crazy!
