Hard top care and cleaning

On my 95 YJ I did not give a crap how my hard top looked... Now with a new JL I have an interest in keeping it in good shape. What are people using on the top? Wax, cleaner, nothing just wash. I have no idea and don't want white streaks from wax if that is going to happen. What direction to go...

Just got mine yesterday but when browsing the owners manual I'm sure I ran across a section on cleaning. Logic tells me wash and wax like the rest of the Jeep, but now you are going to make me go back and read it. 😉

Of course that depends on the hardtop finish--if it's painted the same color as the rest of the jeep---

Just wash and wax the same as the rest--I have for years and the only time I haven't done that is when I've had the BLACK rough finish TOP--THEN JUST WASH--

I've used "MOTHERS CALIFORNIA CARNUBA" for YEARS--and NO PREBLEMO !

Good luck
