Talking Armor for rear back up camera?

This is probably going to sound like a silly question but that's never stopped me!

My Jeep has a rear backup camera in the center of the spare tire on the back. I'm sure, sooner or later, that thing is going to catch a rock somehow and crack the screen (kind of like every iPhone in existence, ever). I'm also sure that's probably like a $1,000 part and it's really useful backing in the garage to lift off the hard top, or replace.

Is there some kind of protector for that thing? I've searched around but haven't found anything.

And yes, I'm a worrier! They've got armor for headlights, taillights, fenders, bumpers, undercarriage; surely someone has invented a "screen protector" bubble for your backup camera.

Doesn’t it simply pop off for when you need the spare tire? If so, then pop it off prior to going wheeling.

Too many mods to list. Too awesome to sell.

You know; I don't really know. I hadn't gotten to that just yet. (It's still pretty new!) I guess that would solve it. I just didn't see any replacement cameras; I'm sure they're out there, and I've seen them as add-ons for the front of the vehicle, so I was wondering about that.

It does not just pop off. Itís housed in a plastic sleeve that is part of the tire carrier. It is a pain to get out actually. Has to take mine out to transfer to my Smittybuilt HD Pivot. It has a metal housing.
