Windshield Wiper Fitting Question

Got myself a 77 CJ7, calls for 11 inch blades or replacement fillers

Can't find any 11 inch within 60 miles of me. So, will it work to get the entire replacement at 12 inches? Guess I could go measure myself, but being old, and a Stage IV cancer patient, it is hard for me to get around sometimes.

You can order them from Rock Auto delivered straight to the door.

...or you can go with 12" with a little epoxy.

Windshield Wiper Fitting Question

I got quality 11Ē AC Delco replacements on Amazon. I tried two types and these seemed to be the best so far but they still arenít great. The wiper arms just donít apply enough pressure on the CJ system I think. But they will get you through a storm. They fit well and look original though.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE:

Most On the block Auto Parts stores show NOTHING in 11 inch for the CJ.

Bosch C1106 will work if you are careful. My wiper arms are good, so I took the Filler Blades out of the Bosch unit, and installed them in the Standard Arms. Works great, a little more expensive than the plain filler blades, but none of those will just fit right in.

If I remember correctly, 11" blades for old Volkswagen Beetles are the same for the Jeep CJ.

Both the Jeep and Beetle used "bayonet" style wipers, and 11" wipers at the local stores are either the "hook" style, or occasionally they are "universal".

The universal ones with have a plastic bayonet adapter, and its crap. So once in a whole, I'll order a 4-5 wipers in a bunch from rockauto.
