Will nerf bars for a yj fit a CJ7?

I’m sure they will but want to verify that the nerf bars off a yj wrangler will fit a CJ7. I know tubs swap but are the frames the same?

I believe the YJ frame is wider, and therefore they would not fit?

Joon is correct. The early Wrangler model (yj version) frame was totally different than the Jeeps frame was. You can fabricate a Wrangler tub to fit a Jeep frame but not so much a Wrangler frame to fit a Jeep tub.

The YJ frame is wider at the front section.

The CJ7 frame narrows much more:

33" for the YJ, 27.5 for the CJ. The YJ is measured to the outside of the frame the CJ to the center line of the frame so you could probably add a couple of inches to the CJ but that still makes it 4" wider.

However there is a possibility that the angle section of the frame is at the same angle between both frames and if the nerf board mounts to the angle section it might fit.

If you are buying it online, I might not take the chance but if you could try it out ahead of time, see how it mounts, there is a fair chance it 'might' fit.

I can't believe the YJ frame diagram is in metric. That's just not right.

Just another reminder that Jeeps died when AMC died.

Thanks everyone for the quick help! There was a great deal on a set and I was hoping they’d work out. I’ll have to pass on them.
