Where to find front frame cover

Does anyone know where to find a front frame cover for a 1985 CJ7.

I am looking for an original stock part. This the the plastic/rubber cover with the Jeep logo embossed in it, that goes between the front bumper and grill.

I found one on Ebay, but i was looking to see if anyone else carried it.

Thank you.

quadratec has em, but they're reproduction parts of course. otherwise, i'd say keep watching ebay or craigslist and here for part outs.

It's probably a little more expensive, but why not cover that part of the frame with a winch?

Bringing back an old thread.

My OEM front frame cover was damaged from an accident in July and I need to replace it. Can't seem to find them anymore. Are they now unavailable? I don't want anything else but Jeep or Mopar part #J575 8048

Iíve been looking for 6 months for new or decent used and havenít had any luck. Sad part is, I was going to buy one 2 years ago (readily available and around $50) but figured Iíd wait till the restoration was done. Now Iím kicking myself:

Yes, that's the one John. Parts manual shows another number but the number on the back of mine matches what you have.

I'll take it if it is in good shape and can be brought back to life as mine got ripped on the end from impact. I can't believe these are not available anymore as I checked with the vendors that others have posted all day long.

I may have just found a new one and bought it but won't post until I have it in my hands. If it turns out to be a dead end, I'll PM you John Strenk for the one you have please.

Keith, sorry for my link, I didn't realize it did NOT have an order link.

Thinking now about all those we tossed in the shop when installing aftermarket bumpers and winch plates

Those are typically available in mass for $25 at shows. Though cheaper knock offs. I seen a video a few months back about restoring auto mouldings and such using a heat gun or torch. That stuff tends to dry out and become dull or faded looking. The heat opens the surface pores and draws the oils within back to the surface to look new again. I've never tried it but it looks like a great restoration technique. Just thought I'd mention it.
