Wheels

Came across 4 15x7 original wagon wheels painted black with the jeep logo on the hub and two 15x8 white wagon wheels from a 1979 Golden Eagle. Is there a market for these or should I just let them sit where they are?

Thanks in advance

There's a market for them for sure. If you sandblast and powder coat them in the correct color and apply the pinstripe like originals had, then you can sell for top dollar.

Have you tried to buy steel wheels recently? NOS go for $100 to $130 each, if you can find them.

If they are straight and not badly rusted then they are saleable, a bit of work and they may ride again.

I am trying to find a set of Chrome 15x7 Wagon Wheels for my 83 Laredo, there are a few around but most are in need of restoration, I have asked a few chrome shops and they want over $1000 to restore these wheels. I am holding off and hoping a decent set come up, but then the other issue I have is I'm all the way over in Sydney Aus and most people don't want to ship over seas. Anyone know where I could find a decent set of 15x7 Chrome Wagon Wheels with holes drilled to suit Laredo? Any help or advise would be appreciated. Cheers.

These are definitly straight but would need some work to look new again. So $100 a piece isn't crazy?

case in point -I'm looking for one single to go as my spare to match the four mounted. I can't tell if it is 15x7 or 15x8 though. I measure 8" across the rim edge but donvt know if that is the way to do it. I don't need it cleaned up.

You can get NOS unused and unmarked for that, so yes that is a crazy price. They may be worth $45 each as they stand.

Typically - 8" across the rim equals a 7" rim as the width dimension is measured from the inside of the rim.

The inside of the rim will have a stamping of size, when made and where it was made, more than likely Canada.

I am interested in the 2 15x8 wheels. Where are you located? Shipping is a little crazy for these things. Can you post a picture?
