Wheel color code 1977-1979

Hi
My CJ 7, 1979, is painted in Cumberland Green with gold colored wheels.
However, I canít find the color code for the paint.
Is anyone in the know and willing to share?
Thanks in advance
McOrd

You are referring to the Golden Eagle edition of Jeep CJ's that had gold colored wagon wheels?
The gold wheel color code is 72R35 or PPG/Ditzer 23681 according to the 1978 PPG American Motors color samples sheet. The gold color was also used for pin stripping.

1979 Renegade

Hi Keith
Thanks for your swift answer. It was really a great help. Judging fro all the pics I've seen it seems gold is a rare color for wheels.
I am also a little surprised as my car seems to be original (except for VW Golf front seats and a crappy aftermarket steering wheel) and the combination of Cumberland Green and Gold wheels.
So once again, thanks. It makes my life a little easier
Take care

If your CJ is a 1979 model, why does it have 1983-84 Renegade decals?

Good question

Hi Keith
Thatís a very intriguing question. I did not know that. Iíll have to do some research. Iím 99,9% sure that the Cumberland paint job is original, my VIN confirms itís a 79 so Something must have happened.
Iíll do some research and get back. So thanks again for enlightening me.
