What to do with the glovebox space?

When I had the roll cage installed the tradeoff for fitting it so that the windows would roll up on the hard doors was to move the bar in the way of the outside edge of the glove box....so it's not going to open anymore. (anybody need a new plastic box and lock set )

Seems a waste not do something with that space....any ideas? Fab a new door and still use the box? Mounting shelf for something....stereo amp?

I left the glove box door on and took the cardboard box out and used the space to vertically mount a 300w Amp.

There's a guy who used to make glovebox nets...I got one of the last ones just before he stopped making them. Maybe try duplicating it? Just need some nylon netting, nylon shock cord, a strip of metal and some screws:

'86 CJ-7 Laredo: 4.2,T-999,D300,D30/D44,'94 YJ tub, full cage, Shrockworks rockers, OYR corners, AC,cruise, restored seats,3 tops,4.5" RE XD,F-T shackle reversal, RS9000x's,35" Dunlop Mud Rovers.
'83 Scrambler: 360,T-999,D300,D30/A20,1-piece shafts,rear discs,33" Fun Country's.

I'm leaning towards using it to install the stereo amp as I've been struggling with where to put it.

Craig, If I go that route I'll shoot you some pics. I'll have to open them up as they are still in the packaging from Quadratec....hate when I get ahead of myself.

How about something useful to the Jeep,
Like a CDI ignition module...

REMEMBER,
'Free' internet information is worth EXACTLY what you paid for it!

Not yet. I'm still ironing out what combination of lift, axles etc that will probably change the current configuration. Once that is ironed out then it will get the frame tie in.
