What are the correct lug nuts for 84 CJ7?

Putting chrome wagon wheels on. Would like to get the correct lug nuts the Jeep would have had when it left the factory. Any suggestions? Links would be particularly helpful...

I researched and purchased several lug nuts from different companies 15 years ago to replace OEM type chrome lug nuts for the wagon wheels. If you are looking for original type chrome lug nuts, McGard #74043 are an exact match as the OEM versions. I painstakingly took measurements years ago and purchased several samples until I found the right ones.

Keith is correct. The package will have Trailer Lug Nuts written on it but these fit perfect.

You have to save up your orders until you have $99.00 worth of stuff and then you get free shipping. I almost never pay for shipping. It is against my principals.

It’s a racer discount. Tell them you compete and you will get a Pro Shop number. They have a different phone number to call and you get a discount on what you buy. It has other perks, like expedited shipping to the track where you are competing. The good part is you don’t have to worry about how may lug nuts it takes to meet the free shipping quota. You just buy what you need, and you know you are getting a good price.

That sounds cool. But what happens when I just order cj shocks, radiator and lug nuts+?

They are going to say: This guy ain't racing sh*t. or do they really care?

I don’t think they care what you drive. I believe all they care about, is selling parts. Call them up and tell them you are building a jeep. I doubt they will question whether or not you are building a Jeep.

Jeeps are used for sand drags, mud drags, truck & tractor pulling, rock crawling, desert racing, the possibility’s are endless.

Check out the “Jeeps back in the Day” thread in the Jeep Photograph forum. Jeeps have been used in competition since day one.

I got 5 packages of the McGard 64000 today for $6.99 each - $35.00 and enabled free shipping on a $72 purchase. For me today it cost $25 for 20 lung nuts. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mcg-64000

I think these are pretty darn much the same thing as the McGard 74043. However, the listing doesn't give the length.

McGard 64000 = 1.5" long
