VEX Sighting!
This jeep has such a history here. Either we should buy it and preserve it somewhere or we are the victims of the most epic Trolling incident of the digital age... If you need to kill some time search the forum for VEX, You won't be dissapointed.

I wonder if its due for another engine lol. It's had a few. Probably the highest mileage CJ in existence. From what i know, the former owner (who was apparently a little nutty) passed away like 5yrs ago. Cool rig

He may have been nutty but boy did we get some entertainment out of his post before he got banned! Someone should call the number on the ad.

Brakes are for quitters
Look at the corrosion. See how the snatch blocks have faded. He really did pass. There's no way he'd allow it to fall into this condition were he alive. Proof enough for me, the man is dead.

I contacted the seller to ask how VEX ended up in North Carolina. If we all do the same, the seller may realized the thing is cursed and let it go for $1000.
I failed to ask if the APUs are included.

Seems the hardtop and doors must have been sold off......an incomplete VEX is only worth half the asking price now IMO.

I wonder if they would sell the trailer separably?

Apparently VEX was en route via rail to a NASA facility in Houston to be fitted with special Kevlar tires as part of a road test in Mexico co-sponsored by one of the companies that submitted a border wall design. The nuclear-powered APUs did not past muster at one rail yard and the Jeep was quarantined and sat for six months, fading in the sun. Someone submitted forged paperwork to get VEX released and it was sent via flatbed to Langley, Virginia but stolen one night before arriving, probably by shadow government contractors. It showed up in Raleigh behind a gas station but spotted by an anonymous Jeepforum member who contacted Audrey, and, having fallen out of favor with NASA and the NSA by this time, she decided to put it up for sale. The APUs still have an estimated 19.2 mega-joules of power remaining, or enough for several more cross-globe trips and 3 more engine rebuilds and 2 sets of NASA-issue Kevlar tires. Probably it has been fitted with next-generation tracking devices which are untraceable. Audrey will throw in a free can of orange florescent spray paint to a motivated buyer who has cash.
