Trying to confirm the year.

Just picked this up from the country.... Wanted one for years... Kids in the way. I believe it's a 65 cj5, 3 speed, 4 cyl... No Vin #... Fixing to do a rebuild. Love some confirmation on cj5 for parts. Here's some pics.... Pretty sure tailgate not original. Pretty rust free!!

1965 seems correct for the year, according to what I can find on a quick search was 65 had the snorkel cutout hood and did not have the fake battery box cover on the cowl.

Thanks Fourtrail...I've been trying to get a good take on the year, model etc so I can get some good pics of what it should look like so I can develop a restore plan. Thanks for your advice on Earlycj.com, tons of great posts there.

I asked the seller if he would say an official title of the vehicle would be a 1965 Kaiser Willy cj5 but he hasn't gotten back to me yet...

I'm trying to join ecj5. The captcha answer is killing me. I've typed in the answer (What is the cubic inch displacement for a Hurricane F134 4-cylinder engine? 161.1) and can not get it to take. Any advice?

Uh, the F-134 is 134 cubic inches, where did you come up with 161.1?

I don't see the cartridge oil filter housing. My '63 CJ6 F-Head had one.

Maybe later years of the F-Head switched to a spin-on filter or someone converted this one but I still don't see the spin-on housing.

Brings back memories of mine.

I don't remember the "Cup Holders" though...
