These Necessary?

So, I took this off for some reason like 10 years ago. I think they went between the body and the frame towards the back somewhere. So, now I'm finally back to giving my Cj some love. My question is, are they necessary and should I clean them up and reinstall them. Really not sure what they actually do

Thanks

Rear crossmember support bracket. It would reinstall them.
