Yes, I am waiting on the tool to come in so I can change out the seal w/out dropping the pan etc.

the tool comes as pictured. use the black tool to remove seal. install black part of tool over shaft and use wrench to turn black part of tool into seal. use another wrench to turn bolt into black part of tool to remove seal. use silver tool to install seal.

Can you post a part number and where you bought it? I may have to tuck one away for the future.

I found the tool: http://www.etoolcart.com/leversealinstaller.aspx

So you are saying that with this tool i can change the seal from the top of the transmission, and even dont have to drop the oil?

And AFAIK, this is the seal you used? https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...+50038+2038003

What about this part, i read that it was smart to change that i same operation, agree?

Anyone know where i can buy all this from one store? I live in Norway, and i dont think Napa are sending parts out of US.

jorns.

The new seal is very snug, put it in the freezer for a while before installing it. I had to tap the old one out from the inside, I couldn't pull it out with a seal pick.

use a screw driver to pull that out. its just a normal old seal, like an axle seal. just hook the edge and flip it out or use a big bolt and thread it out.

I don't feel like working on anything at this time so i sold my yj.
