Sound bar for a CJ-7

I am looking for sound bar, but there doesn't seem to be many for the CJ-7. Do the wrangler sound bars fit on the CJ roll cage? It is a standard CJ cage in the back and then I have the YJ front section. Anybody have one in their CJ?

I have a CJ5 and cannot find a sound bar either. I think I am going to go with marine speakers with brackets that mount to the roll cage.

I made my own with a set of these speakers (http://www.jcwhitney.com/waterproof-2-way-speaker-monitor/p2001308.jcwx?filterid=j1) [I don't remember paying $50 for them though).

Then just use some hose clamps to attach them to the roll bar. You can replace the knobs with screws so they are not as easy to remove. You will end up with this:

well if the front section that you are saying from a yj is the same as the spreader bars on a yj family bar then yes there is a sound bar that will fit. i used a soundbar from a tj and mounted it to the spreader bars that go to the windshield.

http://www.bestop.com/btv/index.php?p= This is a universal one I've seen, thinking about getting one and trying it out. I have a CJ7 and usually end up making some of my own pieces for it but these should work.

If you have the spreader bars, snatch up a sound bar from a YJ or TJ. Personally I have a family bar in my 7 and I installed an aftermarket sound bar with Infinity Reference 6" rounds.
Mucho Bueno!!!

I welded 2 brackets to the roll bar and bolted the sound bar to the brackets.

Sound wedges make no sense to me. Why would you install mid range speakers and then muffle the sound with the seats?
Just my opinion, but its your money...

I been looking at what options I would go with if I wanted to add to my dash speakers. One thing I found is if you do a search for indoor/outdoor speakers they have a lot what is shown as home applications that would be cheaper than marine speakers but could be strapped to a role bar.

I thought these look good for price and quality: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=REG&A=details

Do a google search for Waketower Boat Marine Speakers. Here is a thread I started on them:
https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/wa...eaker-1540657/

I like them because they are premade to fit on a bar and they are made for marine use so they should hold up. The speaker in the thread is just an example - there are a lot of other options out there.

My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets.
When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.

I would also like to do the same thing. I don't mind the custom build thought. What would be the best material to make it out of? Or a good place to even get it done. If its not too complicated id do it myself! I am a female so I do not want to get screwed on the deal obviously. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I also have a hard top that I put on during the winter so I would like it to not interfere with that.
