So, anyone want to go in on this auction with me? Only need about 4250 more people!

Watching Dennis Collins coffee talk and he is at the Barrett Jackson auction right now and this CJ came up;

https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Even...TOM-SUV-237769

It's for charity, but whew!!! After all of my 'I want to clean my engine bay' talk I about passed out when I saw the cleanliness of this one.

Here is a list of all the CJ7s rolling through (Type CJ7 in the search);

I personally would want something that expensive to be original/stock items, but dang if it isn't pretty. Love seeing the CJ fam get love.

So is this the 3rd time it's going to be auctioned?

Wow, didn't realize this was 3. Someone wants a write-off possibly?

This would be a blast to attend and check out all the rides. Dangerous if you had some cash to burn.

Way overpriced to say the least and that CJ is too clean for me. Too purty.

I posted that same Gary Sinise Jeep last year about this time right here: https://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/c.../#post40496751

And they still have not fixed the upside down tailgate hinges!

LOL didn't even see that. Sad thing is, they are painted different colors on each side; meaning that it'd like cost another $14,000 to get that done.

I looked at the pictures for another 5 minutes hoping my opinion would change and it would grow on me......it didn't. Clean, yes, but wow that is just horrible. My opinion only, it has so many cheap aftermarket parts and just the way its done....the parts , the colors, whats missing and been changed, etc, you can tell that the shop is not a place of Jeep/ CJ guys.

Don't get me wrong. As much as I love a clean stock CJ, I also love a nicely built trail rig or huge rock crawler. Just not liking this one

Wow. It is clean but I saw a barn find, all original, very low miles that went for 42K.

Granted, this auction isn't about correctness of the vehicle, but money going to a good cause. Doubt that any buyer would actually even start it up.

Absolutely ^^^^
Never said it wouldn’t raise money.
Sounds like a great cause and a great idea. I hope it raises a ton of money for Make a Wish.
Maybe I was just hoping that one redone at a shop like that, and be that clean, and try to raise huge money, would also be a few notches higher in quality. I’m sure his buddy Dennis would not have CJs leaving the shop missing the cowl seal or have upside down hinges. Just saying.

I knew there was something that was bugging me about the windshield, besides the aftermarket frame. It's the missing cowl seal!!

Thanks, Ed!

Matt

You all are eagle eyes with these things. Thatís frickin hilarious. They obviously never intended for anyone to drive that thing because hold crud if it rains, whew.

There are some pretty cool rigs in that auction, including the Jeep box truck.
