Replacement Wiper Blades?

Hi guys,

I know this has been discussed lately, but I didn't take notes and I can't find the thread.

The last set I bought were absolute junk. The rubber was already tearing when I received them. Now they are totally useless, despite never being used. I tried to install a universal set from O'reallys, but the plastic adapter piece didn't fit the CJ arm.

Who makes the best replacement wiper blades for a CJ? Preferably ones that are designed for the CJ wiper arms, and don't require any funky adapters.

Thanks,

Matt

I purchased a set of Pylon replacement wipers from Morris 4x4 about a year ago. Only had to use them a few times but they seem to work fine. Had them one year and are in good shape. My CJ stays in the garage so I’m sure that helps the condition. Blades were only $8 each so wasn’t expecting them to last too long. Part no. is PLY-1011

I used ACDelco 18-22RFW and ANCO U-22R. Both are 22” in length so I cut them in half and use the clips off the old blades. This way I get a set of 4 blades!

I use either the ACDelco Professional 8-2116, if you can find them, or the Trico 33-111. Both fit Jeep CJ's as a factory fit and probably can be found on Amazon.

A little pricey, but I used Marine grade stainlless steel wiper and arms. They fit the same post. I figure if they can last 5 years on my boat, then on the jeep, which is parked in the garage they're gold.

Thanks guys,

That gives me a few options to explore.

Got my interest on this one as well.... Do you have a brand or part # for these?

I am needing new arms and blade for the 76 cj5

It's been a while so I don't have part numbers. IIRC, I get them from Boat Defender. I also seem to remember a thread on a Grady White (boat) forum where a truck supply co had the same thing. Maybe Penn Supply?.. try Googling Grady White wiper arms.
I just remembered I have one of the blades still in the package on the boat. Next time I'm on the pier I'll see if it has the manufacturer and/ or part #

I've always liked the trico's along with some rain-x. They look stock and hold up for a season. They may last longer in other regions but I've never had any wiper blade last more than one year lol. Freezing in the winter and scorching in the summer always blasts the rubber out.

I ordered the Trico 33-111 set. Should be here tomorrow. I love Amazon.

Thanks again, gentlemen.

I get mine at NAPA auto parts. They are the NAPA Classic Wiper Blade with the Silver steel frame to resemble the vehicle's original blade. Part #: WIP 60116

These work well for me. Granted I don’t do too much driving in inclement weather.

I've had those as well on my CJ. They fit and look OEM also.

My NAPA doesn't stock them anymore. They said they'd have to order them in.

The Trico blades arrived. They seem to be good quality, and they look OEM.

Thanks, again, gentlemen.
