Rear hood rubber grommets?

Where can these be found? These are the ones that mount at firewall back in drain channel. I have all others that are new except these.

BTW, photos are not mine. I grabbed them from some seller that is selling the ENTIRE kit; period! So, thought I'd ask on here while I await other issues.

Rear hood rubber grommets?

I posted those same photos this morning from an eBay seller
Im checking with McMaster-Carr later on to see what they have to match but need to find my original ones if I still have them available for sizing and type.

The closest I am finding are furniture rubber bumpers. I measured my old ones and they seem to be 7/8" diameter x 1/4" (5/16") in height.
This site has the closest in size that I can find. You can always remove the metal insert if you want and just add a small washer.
My only concerns are they being a somewhat plastic/rubber mixture rather than a straight soft rubber.

I made a pair from some rubber stoppers I found at the LHS... cut to length and drill a hole in the center. They've been doing the job for about 10 years.

When I was younger, I thought I was Don Quixote... turns out I'm just another donkey-hootie.

I’ve done a lot of work on my rig and many past ones, and I truthfully have never noticed those...

I feel ashamed

During my first service on my CJ back in 83 I told the service guy that the hood rattled when on a rough road. He said something about recommendations he had made to AMC to fix the problem. They must have fixed it with those rubber bumpers later on. His fix for mine at the time was to glue three small pieces of short rubber hose in the channel. Worked for over 35 years and never came loose.

Cj Grommet UPDATE!

Okay Guys, I got the grommets in; they were kind enough to send two sizes for me to try. Below are all the images.
I ended up using the smaller ones. They fit perfect with zero issues. Check them out! Good Luck!

I was going to get a some new bumpers from McMaster-Carr that I found. 50A durometer, which is soft, but didn't want to buy a bag of 50 @ $12.50 and not know what to do with the rest. So we went back to True Value Hardware store and I found another type that looks almost like the OEM ones and are stick-on as well. Found two that are soft rubber and very close to the original size and cost .85 a piece.
Had a hard time getting the previous ones off that were also stick-on type and it took a pair of pliers to twist and turn them before they come off. Beats drilling a hole for a screw in the firewall of my new Repli-Tub so it is why I chose adhesive backing instead.

Vernier calipers showing size of them. 0.875" or 7/8" wide at the base x 0.375" or 3/8" thick.

Those stick-ons look nice. Heading to the hardware store today.

Keith460, in your photo, what is the purpose of the ground wire going to the hood?

I think he put it on as a ground for his under hood light.

I wonder if it reduced the RFI also?
