Keith,

That's perfect, thanks!!

The extra orange wire in your harness had me confused for a moment, but after reviewing the FSM wiring diagram, I now realize that's for the tach lamp.

I think Laurie is gonna be surprised to see a pile of CJ clocks and tachs show up all at once. I hope they have enough inventory of parts to fix them all. Now you guys have me considering sending in my tach, too. I hate to mess with it, because it's working perfectly, but it does have a few cosmetic blemishes. Did anyone get a price for the tach service?

Matt

I really need to start paying attention to my Jeep CJ parts inventory.... found two more clocks and a tachometer I forgot I had. Now I need to find out which ones work and don't work.

Wife had some errands to run that included going to the post office. My clock is on it's way. I have a tach that looks pretty good but I don't know if it works. I won't have a chance to test it as my jeep is in many pieces. I'll wait to hear on the cost of refurbishing the tachs and may send it also.

Keith, I wish I had your problem.

Has anyone mounted the factory tach without having the factory mounting cup?

STJP,

Considering the leaky nature of CJs, and the likelihood of water under the dash, I'd probably either make one, or buy this one.

That's all well and good but the problem I have is, I have been considering getting another CJ-7 project. OEM gauges are getting scarce and even the OEM wiring harnesses are just as rare. Too many PO's hack them to death and aftermarket gauges, as we all know, are not OEM quality by a long shot.

If I find another spare harness, I'll PM you.

Keith,

I understand completely. Let me know if you find a spare harness. If not, it won't be too difficult to make one.

OK, gentlemen, my clock is boxed up and will be mailed Monday.

As mentioned earlier, be sure to print and fill out the Shipping Information page found at the ISI website. I noted the Jeepforum Discount on the last line of the page.

I hope this all works out well for everyone. If not, blame Scotty.

I see some clocks with a strap and a clock with a cup. does anyone know what the difference is in them?

I'm thinking the light is probably different with the cup mount.

John,

I've only seen tachs with cups, not clocks. Do you have a pic of a clock with a cup?

Lugnut, that's a very kind offer, thanks! If you have a factory clock harness, I'll certainly take you up on it. If not, it'll be no problem for me to make my own.
