No start after wiring new fuel gauge

1980 Jeep cj7
5.3l vortec
Jeep was running perfectly.
The fuel gauge was not working so I replaced it. I bench tested the gauge with the dash apart and everything was working fine. I installed the gauge and everything was working fine. I came back later that evening and no start, no dash lights. The headlights and brake lights work just fine.
I have checked all of the fuses three times... I've checked ALL the grounds...
It's an LS swap so there is no ignition relay .

Any ideas?

Most likely you knocked some wires loose while messing around behind the dash. Are you getting power at the ignition switch? If not, you need to start tracing wires back from there.

When I was younger, I thought I was Don Quixote... turns out I'm just another donkey-hootie.
