No Name

Here are a couple pictures of a project I have been working on. 1980 CJ7 that I have owned since 99. Pretty Bone stock with the exception of a motor rebuild about 10 years ago. The goal was to update it a bit.

Installed a 2.5 Super lift and New Extreme Shocks. The old were 33 years old. It is hard to see it in the stock picture but the front passenger side leaf was bent like a goose neck....and you thought yours steered poorly.
Found a broken rear shock mount as well.

Updated the interior. The Best top seats were fine but fade out. Faded out wouldn't have been too bad but they faded into different colors. Replaced the speedo...maybe now I will know how much gas I have.

I put this GM151 back in the hole. Given a chance to do it a again I would have gone with a V6. Maybe down the road.

Working on a name! I think I have one that keeps coming back into my brain.

Drove it for a couple miles and then pulled the transmission for a rebuild. Shop wanted $900. I think I'll do it myself. So this is how it will sit for the next week until my parts arrive.

Looks like fun. At least you have somewhere warm to work on it!

Having a shop to work in with heat and a concrete floor has been very nice. Not mine, but someday I'll have one, got the land now just need the money and time.

While it has sat I've replaced the U-joints and had to extend the front brake lines. I'm about 3 weeks behiend schedule but I has been fun. I was ahead until I decided that I better work on this transmission issue.

No UPS guy today which means the transmission waits in pieces until parts arrive. Maybe Monday.
